In particular, 43 percent say they have purchased a food to help their digestive system. “While this finding reveals a positive step for many Americans, it also means that more than half of us aren’t paying close enough attention to our digestive health”, said Dr. Miguel Freitas, Director of Health Affairs for Dannon.

Consumers with New Health Plans can now benefit from the following:
- Receive cost-free preventive care like screenings, vaccinations
- Parents can keep their young adults on their plan up to the age of 26
Patients can choose - New health plans must let patients choose their own primary care doctor or pediatrician from the health plan’s provider network
Female patients can see an OB-GYN without needing a referral from another doctor
Volunteering: Helping others could actually help you
(ARA) – We respect and admire volunteers for their devotion to a cause and their willingness to sacrifice their own needs for the needs of others. These selfless acts can often be life-changing for the person on the receiving end, but what about the person volunteering?

The health benefits of volunteering are well documented and include reduced stress and an increased feeling of self worth. It is no wonder that for many people with chronic conditions, volunteering can even help maintain or improve one’s physical health.
